Frog Guest House, Qian Dong Nan, China

Frog's guesthouse is located in the village of Zhaoxing, in the southeastern part of Liping County, Guizhou Province. With a history of nearly 2000 years and home of over 4000 Dong people and more than 800 households, Zhaoxing is known as the 1st village on the land of Dong. It features five drum towers, five flower-decorated bridges (also called wind-and-rain bridge), five opera theatres, and three Sa Altars, all architectural symbols of the Dong people and representing five family branches in the village. Many travelers are also enchanted by the Dong songs famed both domestically and internationally.

With six double-bed rooms and one four-bed room, Frog's offers 24-hour hot shower, free internet and WiFi, self-help kitchen and laundry, and a small library. Upon request, you can also dine with the staff on family-style cooking in a laid-back environment. The guesthouse features a décor of ethnic Dong artifacts and musical instruments, and is a clean, friendly, and cozy place for travelers to gather and rest.
