Villa Tortugas is an exclusive Residence in the Mayan Riviera. Located in a wonderful jungle setting, an oasis of absolute peaceful. Here you will relax in one of our 6 cozy suites which are stand alone casitas with queen bed, ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, ceiling fans and a kitchenette with everything you need to prepare light meals. The suites also have their own private terrace looking out over tropical gardens towards the swimming pool. It is also possible to have a single/matrimonial bed in addition to the queen bed. Great for an extra child or adult.

A perfect location for who loves an intimate, peaceful place in a suggestive location surrounded by the chirping of the birds, away from the crowd and ideal to enjoy all the beaches and attractions of the Mayan Riviera.

We stayed at Villa Tortugas the last week in March 2010. (sorry this review is so late) The grounds were beautiful and very peaceful. Silvia graciously switched our room at no extra cost since the palapa was not a good choice for our 3-year old. The bed was in a loft with steep stairs. They brought an extra bed in for her in our studio without us asking. The rooms were very clean decorated with colorful mexican tile. Coffee, bread , butter and jam, and milk were provided in the room. I would suggest stopping at the store to get eggs, fresh fruit, drinks and any other snacks. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need for cooking. Denis was usually around for questions about the area. He was very friendly and helpful.

The residence is located down a long dirt road so I would suggest having a rental car although bikes are available to rent. You would have to cross a very busy road to get to Akumal beach.

We would stay there again for sure.
