With many private yachts docked close-by, it truly is a lovely area to wander around, or just relax and take in the view.

As part of the Cyclades Isles group, Ios offers some of the most beautiful beaches in Greece, and therefore, within walking distance of Pension Irene, you can find something suitable either for relaxing, or for action-packed water activities. With the popular Gialos beach only a short walk away, those who enjoy water sports will be impressed; and for those seeking some solitude, the picturesque Tzamaria offers a quiet cove to retreat to. Koumbara beach is also within a close radius, offering the clearest water on the island for scuba / snorkeling.

Upon arrival at our hotel, most of our guests tend to love the vine-covered terraces and balconies that overlook our relaxed pool area. With an outdoor bar and full-recline sun beds, it is a welcome area of retreat for our guests to socialize, as well as unwind.

Sheltered at the base of the mountain, there is simple access to the village (Chora) either by bus or walking, and this offers the easy opportunity to go party by night, but enjoy somewhere quiet to sleep when you get home!
