WELCOME to Guesthouse Shinagawa-shuku !
The Shinagawa-shuku guesthouse is positioned in a warm, friendly and evermore local area, and offers convenient access to the sightseeing spots in Tokyo, Yokohama, Kanagawa, and Chiba.
Located just a 2 minute walk from Kita-Shinagawa Station, or a 10 minute walk south from the central Shinagawa station.
You can visit many traditional temples and shrines or take in the intimate atmosphere of the local shops and traditional Japanese restaurants. Our facility is situated on the first station of the KyuTōkaidō Road which connected Tokyo and Kyoto over 120 years ago.
Various local festivals are held in Kita-Shinagawa throughout the year, and are a lot of fun to attend.
Our Guesthouse offers an at home style atmosphere, in a cozy environment.
Room
Most of our rooms are Japanese style with tatami mats so you can enjoy traditional Japanese ambiance.

Not easy to find for someone who just arrived in Tokyo, but as soon as you get there, you can soon find your way around. The room I stayed in was really bright, so you might want to bring your eye mask to have a good night's sleep. The best thing about this place is that it doesn't have a curfew (unlike many other places I found online) so you can come back whenever you want. I stayed during the hottest time of the year and the A/C worked pretty well. Bathrooms are clean, though you can't really take a bath there. There's a public bath (5-10 min walk) near by where you can complete your Japanese experience with 450 yen. (Caution: very hot baths!) I certainly enjoyed my stay there and will recommend it to anyone going to Japan!!

Over all a very nice little guest house, clean and cosy, with cheerful and nice staff. The little extras like a communal fridge and toaster plus the availability of hot water add an extra nice touch to the place. I got a good rest there on the tatami mat. Thank you all!

Extremely good value. 3 months old, , helpful staff, modern equipment, quiet in the evenings, in a traditional narrow Japanese street. Many rooms have retained the tatami
