Qaser Al-Bint Hotel is in a beautiful location in the city centre of Petra, Newly opened, one minutes walking from the main market, It is near to the gate of Petra about 1500 meter. All services are around us, including supermarkets, restaurants, Turkish baths, Taxis, Petra Bus Station (it is three minutes just), Banks for ATM.

At the first time when arriving the Property you will find an exciting Arabian warm welcome:

A welcome drink will be waiting for you, so, you are invited for fresh mint tea, Arabic drinks, coffee or fresh juice upon arrival in our lobby area.

The Property is new; rooms are air-conditioned, clean, hot water, free wi-fi wireless internet access to room and lobby. Also, breakfast, lunch and dinner are available upon request.

The Lobby is American design. It is large, serving Arabic drinks and refreshments as welcome drinks.

Coffee and tea drinks are for free, just ask!

It allows you to access wireless internet, have an interesting time with your friends and visitors to watch T.V. The lobby has also W.C.

Restaurant has a capacity of 35 persons can serve you to have your breakfast, Lunch and dinner. Lunch-box is available for your trip to Petra.

We did not stay
The hostel is located in the centre/through road of the murky village, but the traffic noise is not too bad in the hostel. There is only a few rooms in the basement (the fancy stairs prominently photographed lead to a nonexistent second floor), all connected to the lobby, so that is what you do hear.
The room was very basic, furniture worn flee market quality -but it looked clean at first sight.
After a long introductory talk to three men of the staff, trying to secure business for taxi, picnic in the desert etc. as will be the case everywhere in petra, we got late to our room. So we only looked closer at the bed later. The sheets were dirty, and had hairs etc. on them. The good thing was, they only covered half the bed - there was no bedsheet underneath the cover at all.
Although we expected a basic room, not exactly european standard, there is no excuse for the bed. We cancelled and moved to a much nicer place. We did not agree to move to another room, as we did not trust that to be cleaner. We were charged the full price for to nights, which is not legal as we were told.

The place is definitely a no go because of the poor management and dirty beds.

My daughter and I stayed two nights while visiting Petra. Our room had two single beds as we requested. The room was clean when we arrived. We each had one tiny towel for showering. The towels were for both days as there was no cleaning of the room during our stay or towel replacement. Need bigger, better towels. Bathroom had no toilet seat which was not at all good for travellers, especially for women.

The staff was courteous, helpful and very hospitable. Provided juice or tea or coffee when we arrived and apples and bananas before we left. Internet available for guests.

Easy 20 minute downhill walk to the Petra ruins.
