Dit is een Vertrouwde Recensie. Waarom?

The breakfast is really simply. Just bread and juice with some fruit. However, the juice is just like water and if you want to eat fruit, you have to get up early. Otherwise, they will not refill the plate after the fruit gone.

We had to turn away from the door because of false marketing. We booked an "ensuite" room, with our own shower and toilet. There are no such things in this hostel. Yet, we had to pay 30 dollars for canceling. Friendly staff, but a bit defrauded feeling.

This was the best hostel I stayed in while travelling Costa Rica for a month (May-June 2010).

Clean, affordable, safe, spacious, walking distance from town, nestled into the woods, close to the bus stop for the park, and not completely packed with people like Backpackers was.

I stayed the week and was treated warmly by my helpful hosts.

I would stay there again if I ever return to Costa Rica.

I stayed for 3 days and had a wonderful time at Pura Vida Hostel!
Sonia(Owner) was so friendly and helpful!!!
Only thing that I wasn't expected was, it wasn't right at front the beach.
You have to take a bus(100m away from the hostel) or get a taxi.
It will take about 10min. to get to Manuel Antonio beach.
However, it is walking distance to Quepos downtown. It was convinient for supper time.
Just the way Sonia treated us(my two kids and myself), I will definitely recomend this place for everyone!
