Welcome to the centre of the city of Ansbach. The Platengarten Hotel is a favorite hotel full of charm, with a lovely atmosphere and centrally located, right close to Ansbach Castle.

The hotel has been in private ownership for 4 generations. Inside its walls we invite you to take a visual journey through the centuries. There is much to discover and admire in the Great Hall as well as in the many adjoining rooms, all done up tastefully and kept in tip-top shape. There is even a small palace.

The rooms are lovingly arranged, stylishly furnished, including occasional pieces of antique furniture.

From some of the comfortable, sunny rooms, (with WLAN, TV), there is a perfect view over to the residence, or to the castle; or the view may be into the courtyard, with the orangery, or to the 150 year old linden tree in the hotel garden.

For our guests we prepare, every morning, an extensive breakfast buffet, please do not hesitate to partake.

The Hotel is only 100 meters to the Old City Center, 4 minutes to the train station, the ideal home base for sightseeing trips in Ansbach, the highlights of the Residenzstadt, or through the historically rich surrounding region, with its many castles, and beautiful landscape, along the famous Burgenstrasse, next to Rothenburg o.Tauber, Feuchtwangen, Dinkelsbühl und Nuernberg (44km).

The next airport Nuernberg is 44km.(We offer shuttle service to the airport) but train goes every 20 minutes to Nuernberg. The way to Munich 199km.
