Continue following signs for the Metro, Centre. The Team. Valley Trading Estate is on the right hand side of the motorway. Next exit on the left from Motorway signposted Consett A69Z Whickham B6317 and Teams. Major roundabout turn left - signposted Consett A692. Take right hand lane to mini roundabout, right at mini roundabout sign posted "Whickham". This is "Whicham Highway" B6317 which leads onto Front Street" approx 2 miles straight on all of the time. Shopping Centre on right hand side. Hotel immediately past Shopping Centre on right. Car Park first right past Hotel at rear. Reception also at rear of Hotel.

If coming from A69 Scotland join the A1 South when signposted.

Following the A1 cross over the River Tyne Take the 1st slip road left, signposted "Whickharn and Swallwell". Right at the next roundabout still following signs for "Whickharn and Swallwell". Left at mini roundabout and follow road for about 200 yards. Right at traffic lights - signposted "Whickham" up bank, straight ahead at traffic lights at the top of the bank. The Gibside is now on the left hand side on the B6317, large stone built hotel. For Car Park and Reception " left at Berkley's Off-Licence, before the hotel and come around the rear of the hotel.
