Situated just 200 metres from Derby railway station and only a few minutes walk from the city centre, our hotel iis ideal for leisure guests exploring Derbyshire and Alton Towers or for business guests requiring an overnight stay.

The European Inn hotel is located in the city centre opposite the Derby Midland Railway Station. An ideal base for exploring Derby, the new shopping centre with an array of shops, restaurants, pubs, clubs and just a short walk away is Pride Park the home of Derby County Football Club. Other attractions include Alton Towers, the Peak district, Chatworth House, Royal Crown Derby and Donnington race circuit.

Our Family rooms sleep up to 2 adults and 2 children, there is a large double bed and a bed settee, giving flexibility and keeping the costs to a minimum for a family on the move and the hotel is offered all year round catering for parties up to 50 people.

A number of rooms have extra facilities to help guests who may have special needs. These include additional rails and extra space to manoeuvre in the bathrooms and under the pillow vibrating alarms, amongst other things.

Other facilities to benefit the business or leisure traveller include, free on site car parking, wifi broadband internet access throughout the hotel, business centre and conference facilities which have the added benefit of natural daylight and air conditioning.

The Hotel is situated in the court yard of the hotel (not visible from the street). The car park is accessible from Midland Road (cars only), larger vehicles and coaches need to enter the cat park from the back entrance.

Travelling from the North

M1 - Exit J28 off onto the A38 towards derby for approx 13 miles. At the Little Eaton rounder bout join the A61 to derby. continue to follow signs for the city centre ( road name 'Sir Frank Whittle Road' ) Derbyshire county Cricket Club is situated on the left, stay in the right hand lane at the roundabout, take the 4th exit, pick up the sighs for city centre south and derby Railway Station. Agter Station the European Inn is on the right.

Travelling from the South

M1 - Exit J24 onto the A6 towards Derby. Continue to follow signs for the city centre (for approx 10 miles). Pick up the signs for Derby Railway Station and turn right at the traffic lights onto Midland Road and the hotel is on the Left hand side.

From the East / Nottingham

A52 - Travel east on the a52 over the M1 J25 towards Derby (8 miles). At the island take signs for city center south and Derby railway station and the hotel is on the right hand side.
