This place is great. It's incredibly close to the station and many of the famous sites in Nara.
The owners are lovely--they even helped my wife with some origami she was working on.
The rooms are clean and compact with thoughtful features including lights at each bed, two pillows for each bed, giant tv in each room, and cups by the sink.
There are many extras, like free internet (wireless, and at the two computers in the lobby), DVD rentals, bike rentals, and a kitchen with more utensils and appliances than I even have at home!
The four person room we stayed in had an interesting twist I have never seen before--a bathroom with a glass sliding door and a roll down privacy screen. With strangers, it might be a bit awkward, but with a group of friends, it was perfect.
My only minor gripes are just two small details: the mattresses were a little bit thin and the sink in the bathroom was so small that it was hard to get my mouth close enough to it to spit out my toothpaste.
We had a really great time staying at the Guesthouse and can't wait to go back!

What can I say about this place other than excellent. Owners were lovely and very helpful. Close to the train station which was handy. The cleanliness of the accommodation is superb, our room was very modern and would highly recommend.

We stayed in Japan 14 days and this was the best accommodation we stayed at, the most value for money. The place is very new, very good location near JR Nara station. The hotel provided step by step directions when no other hotels in Japan does. They have free Wifi and LAN internet in the room and 2 computers in the lobby. The color printer is also free to use. Staff speak very good english. You can use their kitchen as well. Good room size and there's a flat screen tv provided. They also have bikes for rent at reasonable price. The only 'not so good' things are, towels are not free and yutakas are not free. However, with the price I paid, I would not complain. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Nara later.

It's awesome clean and very modern. Very impressed with all aspects of this facility.The owner is super nice,friendly helpful and speak good English.One of the best hostel I've stayed in Japan so far(in 3weeks).Location is very close to JR station. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone traveling in Nara.

Downside is that check out timing had to be at 11 and not much allowance seemed to be given. Was being rushed to check out which i felt was not being flexible enough. But overall the place is pretty decent. Seems pretty new and the room isn't overly small.

A piece of heaven in Japan!!
Really, recommend this guesthouse. It's clean, very nice rooms with very nice shower. Internet in the room (if you have a laptop ofcourse).
Location is perfect! Aswell, very excellent value!!Also, if Kyoto is fully booked, stay here and hop back and forth. We had a really bad experience in Kyoto in a hostel. After Kyoto, we went to Nara, to this perfect hostel. I felt like heaven!!

Wasn't sure what to expect from this guesthouse, as we booked it last minute. It was fabulous though! Short walk from the JR station, and the directions online were perfect. Also only 5 minute walk from the main street in Nara.
Free internet in the lobby was great, and there are kitchen facilities that guests can use.
Rooms are small but very clean and very comfortable beds.
All in all, a great stay!
