Villa Il Cuculo is an old but well maintained stone villa in Tuscany, 45km from Arezzo and only 5 minutes away from Stia, a fascinating little town at the boundary with the National Park.

The house is totally independent, with a private pool surrounded by a huge and well cared garden. The villa is very spacious and is for a group of up to 12 people: the ideal place for everyone who wants to discover the culture of Tuscany. You can also spend time visiting the nearby monuments and art galleries of Florence, Arezzo and Siena, and even to spend a pleasant time in the green hills of Tuscany and the Casentino Valley.

“Il Cuculo” is a 3 storey Villa. The living room is on the ground floor, and it’s really spacious and full of light.. Here you find a fireplace, a TV, a DVD player and a satellite TV.

In front of the house there’s a large terrace where you have a beautiful outdoor dining area. There are also several trees around that keep the terrace fresh and shady in hot summer days. The pool is located in a panoramic position. There are enough chairs, tables and umbrellas for the whole group.

The villa has capacity up to 12 persons (even if you want to book for less people, please put the maximum capacity). There are 2 kitchens in the villa, furnished with all modern facilities: refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, electrical oven, wood oven for pizza and a washing machine. On the 1st floor you find 4 bedrooms (3 with a double bed and 1 with a single bed) which can be reached by a beautiful internal staircase or an external one from the garden terrace. The master room has a private balcony and 3 arched windows. It is about 40 squared meters so we can add also another bed (sofa bed).

The price includes:

- electricity, kitchen gas, water

- free high speed internet connection

- complete cleaning of the Villa before arrival

- bed, bath and kitchen linen with weekly change on Saturday

- 1 crib on request

- pool and garden maintenance

Additional costs:

- gas for heater (1 euro/litre)

- breakage deposit (500 euro). In case of damage at the house or its furniture, the corresponding amount will be deducted, otherwise the deposit will be returned to the customer at his/her departure

- Typical Tuscan dinner at the Villa (to be paid to the cook 10 or 12 euro/hour + the cost of the ingredients) -on request-

- maid service ( 10 euro / hour) -on request-

By Plane:

The nearest airport is the Amerigo Vespucci in Florence, one hour and a half driving from Florence to Stia.

Otherwise you can easily reach Stia landing in other airports such as: Pisa, Bologna, Forlì or Rome and Milan.

By Car:

Coming from North: Motorway A1, exit it at Firenze sud. Continue on the bypass following the signs to Bagno a Ripoli-Pontassieve. Once in Pontassieve continue on the SS70 following the signs Passo della Consuma-Stia.

Coming from South: Motorway A1, exit it at Arezzo . Once in Arezzo you take the directions to Bibbiena and then to Stia. you will take the road heading up the river Arno (SS71).

By train:

The most important national and international railway stations easily reachable from Stia are in Florence and Arezzo; from the last one it is possible to get Stia by LFI, the local railway line.
