We have very recently returned form Egypt and stayed here for five nights the hotel bedrooms are very spacious and newly refurbished and had the best showers we had come across with no shortage of hot water.The rooms were kept clean.Breakfast was a bit of a gamble and depended on when you got there but we had freshly cooked omelete each morning but had to scamper arround asking for clean cups plates bread coffee tea etc staff a little inexperienced and disorganised - I asked for a capuccino and was given a frothy black coffee with no milk in it.The hotel seemed surrounded by very louder speakers calling people to pray so not the quietest place to stay.The hotel is still being built as the 5th 6th floor a building site but had no effect on our stay.The roof terrace what a fantastic possition with amazing views of luxor temple the west bank and the road to Karnak temple which is being discovered and restored, however the toilets on this floor where unusable as they needed cleaning I suspect they had not been cleaned for a very long time , unnecessary and poorly managed .The pool was larger then most for a roof pool but freezing the only other complaint was the loud piped music which you cannot get away from which repeats the same songs over and over again, and even when asked to lower the volume this was not done.The loungers have seen better days and needed new cushions. Great value for money excellent down town location but the hotel is let down by its poor management and lack of staff training - why have they let the top floor toilets fall into such an unuseable state when a good clean would be all it would take.
I booked this hotel through travelpoint with all credit card details etc on arrival I was alarmed to be shown another persons booking confirmation which had all this person credit details including secuirty pin is this a secure way of paying!
