Welcome to Canada's west coast playground. If you love adrenalin highs, this is heaven! Skiing, boarding, mountain biking, bungee, zip lining, whitewater rafting, snowmobiling, ATVs... we've got it all!
Opened in July 2010, HI-Whistler is a purpose-built facility that was originally used as part of the athlete's accommodation during the 2010 Winter Olympics. Our amazing facility is the new standard of hosteling with all the amenities you'd expect and then some. Our private rooms are more luxurious than some luxury hotels and our four-person dorm room almost feels private. You'll never find a better hostel than this one!
Our onsite cafe Cheaky's serves beer, cider, coolers and wine as well as home-made meals, snacks and delicious specialty coffees. Open from 7am to late daily.
Store your skis, board and bike in our storage room. Hang out in our TV lounge equipped with a 52' HDTV and meet some new cool folks on our patios or over a game of pool!

Please note that prices are set for Hostelling International Members. All non-members will be charged an additional 10% on advertised rates. Prices include all applicable taxes. Memberships can be purchased at the hostel.

Very clean, great facilities (industrial strength kitchen, good WiFi on each floor, large lounge) - but seriously lacking any kind of atmosphere. I frequently see people complain that HI hostels have no soul, and with this specific one I'd sadly have to agree. No one staying here seemed interested in talking to anyone else, the lounge didn't bring people together but rather had them all sit far apart, and even kitchen talk was very limited. Together with the location being a bit inconvenient, next time I'd probably research some different places to stay at before deciding if I'd want to go for this one again.

It was excellent! A bit far south of the village, but buses are good, and its a short hop if you have a car.

We stayed opening night and the next. Very happy with the complex, it will have a great future. All the best - totally recommended.
