‘Blas de Otero University Residence’ is mixed and has 216 places in individual rooms (196) and double rooms (10). It also has rooms specially designed for disabled guests.

All rooms have equipped kitchens, full individual bathroom, central heating, telephone and computer with Internet connection.

The rooms include a 190 x 90 cm bed, wardrobe, desk, chairs, desk lamp, auxiliary piece of furniture and mirror. The residence provides the mattress with cover, blanket, pillow and bedspread.

The kitchen is equipped with electric hobs, extractor fan, microwave and fridge. Kitchen utensils include plates, glasses, cutlery, pots, frying pans, colander, cruet stand, coffee maker, cooking utensils, water jug… apart from cleaning utensils: rubbish bin, bucket and mop, broom and dustpan and a small clothes line.

Each resident has its own mail box as well as the keys to the room and to the main entrance of the residence (unrestricted access).

These fees include rent, fixed telephone quota, 24 hour Internet connection and free access to the communal areas.

Water and electricity consumption is charged additionally.

The Blas de Otero Student Residence is located in the centre of Bilbao, very close to the train and metro station and next to Plaza Zabalburu. It is:

- 50 meters from the train station

- 300 meters from the metro station

- 100 meters from Plaza Zabalburum where you can take a bus to Leioa Campus.

Arrival times for the faculties are the following:

- 5 minutes on foot to the University School of Business

- 15 minutes on foot to the University School of Technical Industrial Engineering

- 10 minutes by metro to the San Mamés Engineering School

- 15 minutes by bus to Leioa Campus.

How to gt there from Bilbao Airport:

There are buses that depart from the airport to the city every 20 minutes with destination to Terminus Bus Station. From here, you can take a train to Plaza Zabalburu which is in the city centre. Our Residence is only 200 meters away.

By car:

You have to take the Highway A-8 towards Santander, pass through the ‘Túnel de Artxanda’ and reach Bilbao centre (Plaza Moyua) by Alameda Rekalde Street. Once you are there, you have to go towards Plaza Zabalburu and turn right to get San Francisco Street. Our Residence will be after crossing Puente de Cantalojas (De Candilejas Bridge)
