Hostal Gurea, Bilbao, Spanje

I decided to stay in Hostal Gurea because the price was really good. Plus, I saw that Hostal Gurea is situated in the Old part of Bilbao and it is really close to the city center.

And that is exactly the way it is. The area is really really nice. Since Bilbao is not really big, you will have easy access to the rest of the city, including the Guggenheim Museum (15 minutes away by walk following the river), the city center and the public transport.

The room was really nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom in the room was also spacious and clean.

There was also a little balcony in our room. Really nice.

I recommend Hostal Gurea to those travelers who want to stay in a nice place at the same time they don't spend lots of money!

The hostel is ideally situated for access to all areas of Bilbao. There are several good restaurants close by, and access to the city is very convenient. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and available 24/7. Overall, I would recommend Hostal Gurea as a fairly basic, no-frills accommodation option.

The room in which I stayed was spotless and tidy, however it smelled of cigarettes when I arrived, which was unfortunate. Other than that, I was pleased with what Hostal Gurea offered.

Hostal Gurea was a good value optin right in the cetner of Bilbao. It was very close to the train station and the restaurant and nightlife scene (Siete Calles). The rooms were clean and came equipped with the basics. The private bathroom was a plus, but there were no fans or air conditioning available (even on request). That was a disappointment in the middle of the hot summer. Other than that, Hostal Gurea was a good budget option in Bilbao.

My first stay in Bilbao! I found Hostal Gurea on internet, sitting in my flat in Oslo, Norway! Important to me was: Location in the old town and a low price. Both were like they promised. Since i am 65years old, i found the stairs a bit long, but charming too!
I came from two weeks in Asturia, where nobody seemed to talk English. I therefore appreciated very much to find English-speaking girls in th reception. Specially one of them was very clever at that.
If I come back, I will come to Hostal Gurea again!

I came in from Australia, never traveled before. Their reception was warm and welcoming. Any questions were no trouble at all. Very cheap, clean and being in the old town I loved it. I could walk every where I needed to go.

Stayed at Pension Gurea for 2 nights recently in June. Centrally located in the Old Town and lovely shops and restaurants close by. My room was clean, the staff were friendly and service good. Bilbao is a lovely city. The only problem was the constant rain, so bring the raingear!
