La Seguiriya, Alhama de Granada, Spanje

In 2000, the Flamenco singer Paco Moyano refurbished an 18th century bourgeois house together with his family that is located in the historical part of Alhama de Granada. It thrones like an eagle's nest on top of the impressive gorge leading to Natural Resorts (Sierras of Tejeda-Almijara-Alhama)

La Seguiriya is a family Hotel, focused on lodging, amazing gastronomy and rural tourism. Our Hotel is surrounded by Natural Parks such as Sierras Tejeda-Almijara-Alhama which invite you to practice hiking and other sports.

Most parts of the ground floor are carved into the rock of the gorge, providing an excellent temperature during all seasons. You will find here the kitchen and a dining room for up to 40 people. The dining room stays for a maximum of 25 people where you can enjoy the family atmosphere and a selection of typical Spanish and local dishes. Also the napkins, table blankets and even the bed linen are made of cotton that gives you a warm homey feeling and the fact that we are a family business makes our place cozier.

We would like to highlight that the terrace with its breathtaking view to the gorge and its plants has capacity for up to 40 people where you may eat, do some reading, playing cards or having a glass of wine while the River Marchan murmurs. There is also a BBQ.

In order to satisfy today's needs we equipped all rooms with TV, phone, WI-FI, central heating and full bathroom.

Enjoy a stroll in the village discovering its Thermal Spring and the Gorge. Visit the nearby villages of Axarquia or get astonished by the Sierra Nevada or Granada with the Alhambra but always come back to Seguiriya town and enjoy its famous cuisine.

Whereas you enjoy the view onto the snowed mountains of Malaga in the winter, you will get enchanted by the almond blossoms in spring. Autumn shows off with red and yellow leaves of the trees in the gorge and every summer dawn makes you dream away...

From Granada Airport:

Take a bus to go to Granada city which costs three euros. From there, you can take a bus to Alhama de Granada which will cost about eight euros. The times are 12.00am (from Monday to Friday), 15.30 (Monday to Sunday) and another one at 18.30(Monday to Saturday). For the way back, there are buses at 7.30 and 10.00 (Monday to Saturday) and only one at 15.00 on Sundays. If you are traveling on bank holiday please, refer to the timetable as it varies from time to time. Our Hotel is located in the historical centre, right after the town hall. Also, if you go to Municipal Information office the will give you a map of the town and even more exact information about how to get here.
