The Durham is a quiet guesthouse with the true local feel of Jamaican living. The house has five guestrooms, each with access to shared bathrooms. Liguanea has all the comforts of metropolitan living. The Durham is walking distance from a variety of eateries with international cuisines, a shopping plaza, grocery store, petrol station and bank. Within a ten-minute walk you can be at the Bob Marley Museum. Jumping on a bus to other parts of Kingston is simple, too! The Durham is also ideal for your first or last few nights in Jamaica as it is only 20 minutes from Norman Manley International Airport. Want a ride with someone you can trust? The Durham offers airport pickup for US$30 (and transport to other parts of the island, too!).

The people who stayed in the property watched LOUDLY STUPID television every evening, which is located just outside of my room. It was extremely annoying- I was tired at the end of the day but could not rest because of this television's noise. Not everyone appreciate the STUPID television. PLEASE REMOVE IT. Second, the people staying in the property moved around and talked loud at 2:00am and 3:00am. I guess that that time is to sleep!! The Durham should have clear rules and regulations of conduct. Otherwise, those people who do not have common sense rule the place.

Me and my girlfriend flew to and from kingston airport, so we stayed at the Durham in the beginning and at the end of our journey. Its a very nice guesthouse. It's clean, it has a nice backyard with palms and mango trees to hang out and relax. There is water for free and you can even use the internet there. The guys there are really helpful and give you good advice on what's to do and to see in and around kingston. If you want to go out in Kingston, just ask Andre. He knows what's going on(and he'll probably join you^^). If you're interested in Caribbean food, make sure to eat at Doctor Spice(less than 5 minutes away), the food there is delicious(and very affordable). Hoping to come back to this beautiful island soon...

Completly unorganized... They had no idea about the reservation (all responsible persons were stoned) and would have been completly lost without my reservation printout. Facility was nice.

The owner and his staff are very helpful and always there to assist and advise you. They are very laid-back people, so you are bound to have a very relaxing time at the Durham. The garden of the Durham is amazing and lets you totally forget that you are in a big city. I would definitely recommend the Durham to any one who is on his way to Kingston.

Nice guesthouse with cosy backyard with tables. Located near Sovereign shopping mall. Approx. 30 min walk (or 5 min drive) from Bob Marley's Museum. The owner is very friendly and gives useful advices about Jamaica (public transport, accomodation and tourist attractions). We were checked-in in a cheaper room than we originally booked (25 vs 40 USD). In this case we had to call Mr. Oliver to avoid any future payment misunderstanding. This garden room was very basic but clean. In total: this place is a good value for money to stay in Kingston.
