Heliconia is an authentic ecolodge located in the Yanamono community 50 miles away from Iquitos City on the shores of the Amazon River. Room Rates include accommodation in double or triple room, guided excursions, meals, ground and river transportation.

Heliconia Lodge offers accommodation, meals , transfer and excursions per day as apackage.

Our Ecolodge surrounded by the finest and exotics collection of Amazonian Heliconias, and close to islands and lagoons full of wildlife , offers you wonderful places for resting and spending time with plenty exciting activities.

Our Programs , have the following activities depending of the days that you want to book:

Birdwatching, Fishing for fun especially attempting to catch Pirahnas and others, Visits to river communities, Observation of the beautiful water lily flower called Victoria Regia, Observation of the Pink and Grey River dolphins, Boat rides along the many tributaries of the Amazon River, Hikes into the primary jungle in search of certain species of animals, Night searching for alligators, ect.

Our friendly and environmental construction has modern facilities with high safety standards. Our 21 ensuite rooms: double/ twin , matrimonials and triples.

- Double /twin rooms with a double bed or 2 twin beds

- Triple rooms come with on 1 double bed and two twin beds.

Bed cotton sheets are provided and rooms come with security lockers and bathrooms with 24hr hot shower.

The reading lights are available until 10:00 pm. After 10:00 pm the lodge is lighted by kerosene lamps.

All rooms , looby/bar and the hammock room are completely protected with mosquito netting and they all are interconnected by passageways that have palm thatching roofs.

When you arrive to Iquitos Airport meet our driver in his booth # 5 located at the luggage claim area. Our driver will transfer you to the dock located at 20 kms away from the airport, driving through Iquitos City. At the dock you will take our speed boat arriving to Heliconia then 1 hour 30 minutes.

Very important note: All transfers to Heliconia Lodge are in the morning time only, therefore try to take morning flights arriving to Iquitos City no later than 09:30 am.

In case you arrive in the afternoon or evening , you must spend the night in a Iquitos Hotel, starting the tour to Heliconia Lodge the next day.
