This magnificent Georgian mansion, set in three acres of grounds, is only two miles from Shakespeare's birthplace with easy access to historic Stratford-upon-Avon. See performances by the world-renowned Royal Shakespeare Company or visit nearby Warwick Castle, one of England's finest Medieval castles. Enjoy great food in our restaurant with its superb à la carte and children's menus or sup a local brew in our stylish bar.

Doors are locked at midnight with access after this time. Rejuvenated Victorian Kitchen and Sensory Garden will be completed in 2011.

Yes I thought it was an all-round 5 star property. Enjoyed my (short) stay. Nice facilities, and no problem being out of the town - an easy bus-ride (get a Dayriders ticket for £3.90). Would have liked to have stayed longer - would recommend this place.

This hostel is good value for money, although being out of the main city centre you do have to rely on the bus to travel in and out of the main part of Stratford itself (you can walk but it is a way away). The other main thing is that this hostel books a lot of school group accommodation bookings, while I was staying there were three groups through, including a primary school group - so if lots of children and teenagers aren't your thing, you may find this can get on your nerves a little.
