Close to Addo National Elephant park, Orange Elephant Backpackers has a Vibey pub and a traditional South African restaurant and offers clean, comfortable accommodation at affordable prices.

The Orange Elephant Backpackers is situated a short 45 minute drive from Port Elizabeth on the R335. We are about 5 minutes from the main gate of the Addo National Elephant Park and our property borders on the Addo Park.

Join us in the small but well stocked pub for a few drinks. Luckily the rooms are within crawling distance from the pub so you don't have to hold back. Meet the locals and listen to some of the folklore and have a good laugh.

Orange Elephant has much to offer in the way of activities. Visit the Addo Raptor and Reptile Rehab center, going on a game drive at a private reserve, Schotia Safari's. Ride an Elephant at the Elephant Back Safari's, go canoeing or quad biking, hiking, mountain biking and much more.

Orange Elephant backpackers has a ten bed dorm and a six bed dorm. Double rooms can be used as doubles or family rooms. There are extra single bed in room at extra charge. Rooms are large and airy.

From the N2, take the Addo National Elephant Park turn off and follow the road for 45km. We are on your right.
