Bassi Fort which glorifies the history of Chundawat clan of Sisodia Dynasty was built in the 16 Century by Thakur Jaimal,cousin of Maharana Pratap. Set picturesquely amid hills, the quiet luxury of the palace offers a retreat into anaesthetically beautiful environment.

The 16th century Bassi Fort, 25 km off Chittorgarh is set amidst the hills of the Vindhyachal ranges. The ornate gates, domes, arches and corridors of the palace recall the grandeur of another era when valour, honour as well as ostentation were understood precepts of royalty. The fort has been painstakingly restored, maintaining the integrity of the original structure while subtly introduce the trappings of modern comfort.
