Well i really would like to write a glowing review about this place because the staff and the owners wife were faultless to a tee. However the owner Mr Tandon the same cannot be said for; firstly we were promised a train stn pickup after our 18hr train ride only to find he wasn,t there leaving us a get a auto rickshaw which dumped us about 90min walk from the hotel leaving us to fend for ourselves. A breif apology followed them the driver was blamed and thats the common theme here the blame is always layed at someone elses feet. If you book an a/c room and the government turns off power which they do your srcewed because its their fault, he,s too much of a tight arse to get a backup generater. I could go on all day but think twice is my advice, lastly this one,s the kicker whatever you do don,t book there on the proviso that he has c/card facilities more bullshit will follow...............M jones Australia.
P.S. Varanasi is truly spiritual.....

One of the cleanest hotels in Varanasi (but still a little dirty),his is a small guesthouse direkt to the river. (The lotus lounge restaurant is at 50 meters).
Very nice food and the best masage (cheap!) we ever had.
Only the manager and his travel agent are irritating.
