Opened in Jun 2009.NAGOMI is traditional Japanese style guest house. All rooms are decorated in Japanese style. Our guest house is located in north of downtown. NAGOMI close from Daitokuji-Temple and there are many major places, Funaoka onsen (Hot-spring), Kinkakuji-Temple, Ryoanji-Temple, and etc.

Our guest house is located in north of downtown, about 20min from JR Kyoto Station by Bus or Subway.
Nagomi close from Daitokuji-Temple and there are many major places,
Funaoka Mt.Funaoka Onsen (Hot-spring), Kinkakuji-Temple (Golden Temple), Ryoanji-Temple (Stone Garden), Kitano-Tenmangu-Shrine, and famous Temples and Shrines.
Nagomi has 3types of room, single room, twin or triple room and dormitory room. It's good for individual backpackers and families.
All rooms are clean and cosy.
We offer many free services including internet access, shower (soap, shampoo), coffee and green tea.

Bus: 5 min walk from Horikawa-Kuramaguchi Bus Stop. It is 20 mins by City Bus #09 from Kyoto Sta.
Subway: 15 min walk from Kitaoji Subway station. It is from Kyoto Sta, take Subway Karasuma line and get off Kitaoji station. It is 14 min from Kyoto Sta.
Taxi: 20-30 min from Kyoto Sta. by taxi.

A very good place to stay, where we appreciated to stay during 6 days.
The only problem was the obligation to warn in case of coming back fater midnight - there was no keys.
A very traditional place of living, with a preserved intimity, holded by a very peaceful, smily and discrete family.

It was a very nice experience... to live in a traditional Jap house... do try Guest House Nagomi Kyoto... ;p
The guesthouse is about 20 minutes bus ride from the JR Kyoto station. It's located in a small neighbourhood with some restaurants, convenient stores and public baths. Although small, the guesthouse has a very 'homely' feeling and the owner was very helpful with suggestions and tips on Kyoto. We stayed during the time of the radiation threat in Fukushima so there weren't many guests but Kyoto was very safe. The blankets and heater kept us warm and there was free tea and coffee. Highly recommended if you're looking for somewhere quiet and near bus routes. Also you can walk to the Golden Pavillion in about 30-45 minutes.
