Welcome to Valentine Inn/Petra. We are just 200 meters from the center of the town, overlooking Petra Mountain with a spectacular view which allows you to watch the sunset from your room while you are lying down.

We are a clean and economical Inn with friendly and hospitable staff. Public transport arranged daily in front of the hotel (public buses all over Jordan). Trips and tours are organized with good deals for guests like (Wadi rum tour, Kings Way tour, little Petra tour...).

We also have a money exchange, laundry, free safe box and internet, books and video library in different languages, Information about Jordan and all the area around provided, free car parking as well as Camping.

We also offer guests three meals a day- breakfast is 2.5JD and lunch box (take away) is 2.5JD. Dinner is an open buffet (25 different kinds of salad, soup, chicken, rice, pasta, hummus, falafel, bread and Jordan/Bedouin typical dishes) all you can eat only for 5JD.

The hotel itself is a bit kitch. The guy working at reception was rude, didn't seem to know what he was doing, and messed up my booking to catch the bus from the hotel to Wadi Rum.
Dinner was served at 19:30 and despite being told that it was served until 22:00, by the time I'd got back from Petra, showered and come downstairs at 20:30, everything was finished and packed away. There were 5 of us guests that were under the impression the food would still be out, and when we asked for our food, we were made to feel like we were inconveniencing the hotel in making the request.
At 6am the next morning when I cam downstairs to checkout and catch the bus, the reception guy was sleeping in the lounge and several attempts at waking him proved fruitless.
Won't go back there again.

A large group of us (15) booked through this website. Taking nearly all of the available rooms. When we arrived we checked in speedily so that we could get to Petra itself. Valentina (the owner?) was brilliant and had us all checked in very quickly. Even with confusion over the booking she managed to keep her sense of humour with me. The hostel dropped us and picked us up from the site too. We were offered an all you can eat buffet for the evening meal for 5JD. The food was amazing. So much choice, lots of very authentic/Mediterranean options, and loads of it. A complete bargain. The rooms are basic, if not a little shabby chic, but clean at least. The hostel had a lovely feel to it and everyone working there was very friendly. The location was up the hill a little, but only a 5-10 min walk from the main drag and this meant it was quieter and allowed for a little more space to eat and hang out in the outside area which was perfect.

I would recommend any traveller stay here.
