Over UH Urban Hostel
This hostel is the first bed and breakfast and the least expensive in Playa del Carmen. The beach, pubs, restaurants and other attractions couldn't be closer: maximum 5 minutes to walk.

UH formerly known as Urban Hostel is fully renovated and is one of the most popular hostels in playa because it was one of the first hostels here, it has a great vibe, a very friendly atmosphere and the cheapest rates in town... UH is all about meeting other travellers and locals and having a great time, with its multiple common areas including 2 terraces, a palatal-lounge with TV, DVD and cable, lobby, common kitchen and dining room it's very easy to meet other travellers.
UH have both men and women dorms, and private rooms raging from 2 people to 6 people. Its location couldn't be better just a block away from 5th Ave and a block more away from the beautiful Caribbean beach. Also since it's located downtown it's only a few blocks away from the entire night life scene. The ferry to Cozumel is only a 5 min walk away. The ADO bus station in 5th avenue is only 3 blocks away and from there you can come and go to Cancun (about 3dlls) and Cancun airport (around 8dlls).
Your stay at UH includes Breakfast, Linen, and you can even ask for a towel if you didn't bring your own. A cleaning lady comes by every day to make sure everything is clean, and our friendly staff will help you with whatever they can to make sure you have a great time. Come by you won't regret it!!

The location and prices are really good but the rooms are not clean and there is a lot of noise during the day and the night
The location is perfect, and it's very cheap. It has everything you need, the place is nice and cozy and the staff was incredible, always friendly and happy to make you smile. They all treat you like family and make you feel at home. I definitely recommend it, and if I ever return to Playa I wouldn’t doubt where to stay.

This place is horrible!!!! so dirty, the owner is a really unfriendly person; nasty..the worst place I've ever beeen in life; we did not stay there because we noticed this at the very first; but even that the horrible-drunk owner charged the whole amount plus a comission, what an idiot!

It is a very nice environment, , music is loud and people is friendly, some rooms are not in a very good state but everything works fine, and you will have a very good time. It is a very good option if you are willing to share a bathroom with all the guests and want to make lots of friends.
