Good location for a base to do day trips; the staff organised tours for us although the tours are not available everyday and sometimes we were told last minute that it was not available (because they couldn't fill 4 spaces in a taxi). Rooms were basic, cold in the winter nights and shower was not great.

I spent one week in Amman, and my stay at Burj al Arab was just great. I am quite a seasoned traveler, and I rarely leave feedback online unless I am really impressed by some place I stay in. In this case, I have to say that Burj al Arab was a perfect place for my days in Amman: the hotel is located right in the most vibrant area of downtown Amman, a few minutes away from the Roman Theater and the Nymphaeum. It is therefore in a perfect position to explore what I think is the most authentic atmosphere of the city.
My room was basic but clean, with a fridge well equipped with snacks and drinks, powerful (but discreet) A/C, and free WiFi.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, speaking very good English, constantly providing precious hints about the best places to visit, and the cheapest way to reach them.
One day that I woke up too late for breakfast (which is included, by the way!), they invited me to eat some delicious Arab food with them in the lobby.
So, summing up, I can definitely recommend Burj al Arab to anyone visiting Amman and looking for a cheap but still very good accommodation.
