Over Desert Rose Eco Lodge
The Desert Rose Eco Lodge captures the spirit of the old oasis, and was built to evoke the traditional style of the Oasis villages using the local palm tree branches and natural clay.
Desert Rose Eco Lodge is near the Pyramid Mountain and there is a hot spring just 100 yards away. And best of all, the area is serene and yet only a 15 minute drive from the town centre.
The rooms are tastefully furnished in the Colonial style and have small terraces with spectacular views over the Desert Rose gardens.
There is a Restaurant serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner providing unlimited food (please note on-line rates are half board)
Also an Outdoor café, serving locally produced food looking over a Landscaped garden, with seating and dining areas where you can enjoy marvellous sunsets.
The gardens include a small organic orchard with mango, banana, guava, orange, palm, olive and pomegranate trees. The Eco Lodge also has its own small farm with organically grown vegetables

RSSI had an absolutely enjoyable time at the Desert Rose.
It was my first time to go to the Bahariya Oasis.
How can I describe it? It was serene, quiet and very relaxing.
It was just a clean place in the desert for peace and relaxation
I advised friends to go and I'm happy to say that they went and intend to go again; and that was during summer. I was surprised because I went during winter.
Excellent value for cost.
My best experience in the western desert. I got a good deal on both hotel and safari by contacting the owner directly via their website. The owner knows a lot about ecology, local historic sites, gave valuable advices about what to include and what to pass when we were discussing safari to the White and Black desert. During safari, the slide down the sand dune was done perfectly - applauds to the driver and Capt. Reda, the owner, for selecting such an expert driver. The hotel is very nice - large eucalypts, mature date palms, hibiscus and obviously the desert rose. The room was large enough for two and the hot shower felt nice even after a day under the sun. Thank you for such wonderful time!
