Our hostel is for those travelers who are looking for a lush, pleasant and relaxing stop in this fisherman\'s town; an oasis where one can forget about the stress of a long trip and the worries of regular life in a open and friendly environment.
This is a place where the art of living is the most important thing. It is a home in the life way, it\'s a house of life and color.

Mali, the owner, is a fine artist whose paintings grace the walls of the rooms - sometimes on canvas and sometimes directly on the concrete! Her vision of creating an economical, mellow, artist-friendly space is realized with a large garden area, hammocks, kitchen, laundry facilities, whimsical decorations, and complimentary coffee or tea. seasonal fruit from the hostel\'s garden and we prepare some healthy food check out for our menu at \'the cafecito\' up until noon.

RSSVery disapointed by this hostel well recommended in a famous guide.
The hostess lost our reservation, room was not ready at 4 pm.
Common showers are disgusting, no water after 10 pm and none during the night.First room shown didn´t have a door. I couldn´t find the pool, is there really one? We found a hotel with private bathroom, private terrace and better located than this one.
A very bad experience at hostel El Ricon Viajero, we left after 1 night.

I really enjoyed my visit at El Rincon del Viajero. I enjoyed the artistic and gardenlike atmosphere. And the hostesses Maili and April were super friendly and helpful with information and suggestions.
It was a good location, not too far from the central part of town but in a mellower, not at all touristy local neighborhood.
It was a relaxed atmosphere in which to meet with other travelers as well.
PROS: It was cheap. Had a minimal kitchen to cook in. Not a far walk to downtown. Taxi station is close by. Has a small store next door. Lots of pretty plants and trees in the yard. Clean linens.
CONS: No hot water for showers. We had to buy lights for our room. The toilet seat was broken. No private bathroom (ask your room mate to leave if you have to go #2, haha).
