Our rooms
We have private twin, double, triple and family rooms each with en-suite bathrooms and private balconies. All rooms are individually themed and decorated by artists from around the world.
Our private rooms have four poster style double beds, electric blankets and a cozy lounge area, perfect for a romantic stay in Dali.
We have two spacious deluxe 8 bed dormitories one male and one female, both have en-suite bathrooms, electric blankets and private balconies overlooking the ancient city wall. Each bed has a personal reading light with a private secure locker and shelves to store your belongings.
We also have a 20 RMB 12 bed or 25RMB 6 bed mixed dorm options with shared bathrooms.
For our guests who decide to stay longer than planned come and chat with us about long term accommodation options. Special rates apply.
Our restaurant and bar
Every Wednesday and Saturday come and join us for our world famous 35RMB ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT BBQ buffet from 6pm-8pm including a free drink, live music and open mic. On non-BBQ evenings join our communal Chinese meals in our warm bar surrounding our tibetan stove sipping our homemade warm mulled wine.
Our restaurant serves a full range of Chinese and Western food. Whilst our bar serves a full selection of Chinese and foreign beers, wines and spirits.

when i was there people were robbed in the room and i've felt very insecure, even if the staff pretend to be backpackers friendly
Really a nice place to stay and genuinly recommended.
The rooms look new, are very spacious and have little balconies.
I struggled to find the place as it is on a 'pedestrian' river street, right at the top where there is almost no more activity. Once I found it, it was easy to navigate from there and the place is actually quite central.
I did not like the shower in the room (don't like showering over a toilet), but I found a lovely shower on the second floor which was big and clean.
I joined the Magnolian braai on the Sat, which was maybe a bit over-priced but was a good way to meet all the other people at the hostel.
I didn't try any other food there, but the breakfasts looked good.
All in all - a definite winner.
