From the outside, it doesn't look like much - unfortunately from the inside it didn't get much better (the photos are deceiving). The depressing 70's kitsch decor and general filthiness wasn't particularly welcoming. I stayed in a tiny claustrophobic room with stained and worn carpets. The wrap-around shower curtain was mouldy (not good when the hot air causes it to lift and stick to your body). The walls are paper thin (could hear snoring from next door) and the manager tried to charge me for WIFI after my voucher ran out on the first day (hostelworld and their own website made loud boasts that it was free) when I disputed this as politely as possible, he became very rude and arrogant. They charge €3.50 to store luggage (per piece and even for as short a period as 1 hour). It's also near a very touristy area so places to eat in the area were quite expensive, even for Berlin. On the whole it was way overpriced and not worthy of a 3-star rating. After 11 months of travelling (and roughing it) this is the worst hotel I've stayed. I would never stay here again nor recomend it to friends. Avoid at all costs!
