The IGUANA HOSTEL is newly refurbished and decorated outside and inside, with spacious terraces where you can enjoy your breakfast or just relax.
The IGUANA HOSTEL can only host 30 people maximum, so we can always take good care of you. Inviting communal spaces also make it easier to make friends and create a family atmosphere. Indeed, chilled out and family atmosphere is what characterises the Iguana and this is thanks to our dedicated, multilingual staff.
Take advantage of free Internet and Wi-Fi, play ping-pong and foosball in your free time, become a champion eventually, then relax in a hammock in our garden, make friends by bonfire at night or enjoy San Cristobal's night life with your new friends and our staff. We have all kind of tours on offer: both conventional and alternative. Moreover, we are always happy to provide advice on how to optimise your stay in San Cristobal, as well as travel in Mexico and neighbouring countries. Many travellers say they feel at home here and stay with us for weeks! And if your bus is leaving at night you can still use hostel's facilities and store your luggage for free!

RSSSometimes travellers looks for some advice and positive experience of previous backpackers, that searched one place. No doubt, that Iguana hostel - is one of the best option to stay in San Cristobal de las Casas. Very cozy and comfortable dorms, clean and bright open space for relax and tasty breakfast!!!
But the most important are people - they are so nice here!! the owners of the hostel try to do the best to creat some simple, funny but unforgetable atmosphere of friendship, sunny travellings, sudden meetings.. I think they become friends of half of the World. Because guys from a lot of countries visited this hostel and liked it. Im 100% sure, that if once in my life I come to Mexico and this city again, I will go to Iguana hostel and its great family that lives there!
