Forlorn, cobble - stoned Angielska Grobla Street, where the hostel is situated, is extending from the Motlawa River in a direction of a demolished building of an old slaughterhouse and the place itself is one of the most mysterious backstreets in the centre of Gdansk.

The walls were paper thin, literally no more soundproofing than a curtain. The single room was the smallest closet I have ever sleeped in. I had to hang my backpack on the wall, because there was not enough room for it on the floor when the sofabed was opened. There was sand on the floor and in the sofabed.
The sofa-bed opened to a 3 cm thick mattress on the floor and the wooden frame of the sofa pressed painfully through the mattress. A very unconfortable night!
The showers were built in the same small stall with the toilet, so you had to take the shower basically sitting on the toilet seat. There was no room to put your clothes or even to keep your towel dry during the shower.
The staff spoke very good english and was very helpfull and pleasant. The location was ok and the price cheap.
