Over Hotel Pankow
The Hotel Pankow is located in the part of Berlin, where the East German leaders lived. The nearby castle 'Niederschönhausen' (10 walking minutes from the hotel) was their guest-house. Krustschov, Breshnev, Fidel Castro, Nasser and Arafat all stayed there.
The hotel is a light and airy house, with all the amenities necessary for a nice relaxing stay. The furniture in our rooms is modern and of a Scandinavian style. Every room has a cable-TV, a phone a writing desk and in most of the rooms there is a comfortable armchair.
Behind the hotel there is a hotel-owned parking lot, where parking is € 5/day. In the garage parking is € 7/day.
Near the reception there is a computer for the guests, where you can read and write your e-mails or just surf the internet. The first 20 minutes are free. And after breakfast our breakfast room converts to a little Bistro, where we serve snacks and drinks.

It was a bad arrival, because Travellerspoint didn't book our hotel. Until now it is unclear why it happens. The manager in Hotel Pankow says, there is no contract between Hotel and Travellerspoint.
The Hotel is in good condition. Unfortunately, there is a long road way to the hotel (>20min).

Hotel Pankow is an excellent place to stay. Quite inexpensive and very close to public transportation. The rooms were cleaned daily and were nice and bright. Excellent service. Only bad thing for me was no access to internet but you can bring your own laptop and use their wireless. I would stay there again for sure.
