Really nice place (the best place I've stayed in India so far) - also good value for money. Free pick up from the train station, friendly welcome, reasonably priced and fast laundry, good food, very clean etc etc...

I would struggle to criticize it but given I think they are the sort of place to listen to any feedback and make things even better here are some minor niggles:

- Internet speed could be faster (but this seems a general issue in Udaipur so it may not be possible).

- Pillows were too thick and therefore slightly uncomfortable. Also some warmer blankets could be provided.

- 23:00 curfew (although not strictly enforced) is a bit too early. 24:00 would be more reasonable.

As I say these are only very minor issues and generally it's an excellent place.

An excellent place to stay. It is quite a new guest house and they're really putting the effort in to making it a great place. It was the cleanest place we stayed in the whole of our 6 weeks in India. The owner is very considerate and friendly, will arrange excursions/supply useful information as requested without being pushy. The rooftop restaurant has great views across the skyline and serves good food though there are a couple of dishes that you'll need to order in advance.

Superb guesthouse. Rizwan and his family have definitely succeeded in making this place an 'home away from home'. Rooms are lovely and very clean. Food in the restaurant is excellent. Location is just a few minutes walking from the touristic centre. Rizwan is always friendly and full of information and willing to help you out even when not in Udaipur. I surely will stay here again when visiting Udaipur again one day.

My partner and I originally booked to stay here for 3 nights - we have now been here for 2 weeks and are finding it really difficult to leave. This has been a fantastic experience in every way imaginable.
The guest house itself is beautiful. Each bedroom has been individually decorated with care and consideration. Beautiful throws and decorative hangings have been added to each one, giving them a comfortable, warm, homely feel.
The upstairs rooftop restaurant has amazing views of Udaipur and unobstructed views of the mountains. If you are disciplined enough to wake up at 6am, you are guaranteed to see a breathtaking sunrise and for those who prefer a late morning, the sunset is equally as spectacular.
Rizwans mother does the cooking and everyone we have met here agrees that it is the best food they have tasted since arriving in India. Everything is cooked fresh, using as much local produce as is possible. Every meal has been a culinary delight!
Hot water is in constant supply as a result of their solar powered showers! This was an essential purchase for the family, not only so they could ensure their guests the luxury of a hot shower at any time, but consideration was given in regards to environmental factors also.
If the excellent location, food and facilities aren't enough, the hospitality we have received from the moment we arrived has exceeded our expectations by far (and that still does not give it enough justice). Rizwan, his sister Farheen and his parents have taken great care of all their guests. Nothing is too big an ask for them and in every way imaginable they are eager to assist you. I had a birthday during my stay here and I have to be honest, I can't remember the last time I had a birthday like it! Not only was the upstairs restaurant decorated for me, but Rizwans mother also cooked me a special local Rajasthani dish. When I didn't think the experience could get any better, I was presented with a specially decorated birthday cake, with my name on it! It was incredible and the tastiest pineapple cake I have ever eaten! The evening ended with fireworks and much merriment! It was a wonderful experience that has left me feeling very lucky to have had this opportunity.
I cannot praise the Mewargarh family enough for their generosity, care and friendship! It has been a real privilege staying here!
