When people think of Nuremberg, they usually think of gingerbread, toys, Christmas, the Reich Party Rally Grounds, or the Nuremberg Trials. But the old town of Nuremberg in the shadow of the towering imperial castle is more than that. Gothic churches, splendid patricians\' houses and romantic corners and spots. An atmosphere of lively co-existence between medieval and modern, between the past and the present, prevails in Nuremberg.

I booked a 4-bed dorm but upon arrival told it was a mistake and was given a bed in a 9-bed dorm instead. No compensation as all beds are the same price at this time of year. The dorm was full, including 5 loud US frat boys, they came home from the pub and kicked furniture around, threw bottles across the room into each other's beds, wetting them with beer. There were people on the street waiting to get into a nightclub next door, they shouted out the window asking the girls for sex and then pissing out the window and throwing bottles onto the street. So I was pretty pissed about being moved into this dorm. Luckily it was full and my wife had to stay in a separate girls dorm which was much more well behaved. Bunk beds were 3 high. Owner was apologetic but no compensation and didn't care when I told him about the damage to furniture. Kitchen is filthy at night, as guests are not expected to clean their dishes.

excellent hostel, very clean and comfortable and the owner really nice attention to the guest, I full recomend it.
