Hotel Sonne, in the heart of the town Fuessen, is situated directly at the culmination of the Romantic Road, surrounded by Ludwig´s famous Castles Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau (3 km), next to a wealth of baroque churches and chapels, romantic fortresses and lakes.
Take a Boat-trip on the Forggensee or the cable car to summit of the mountain Tegelberg and stop off at one of the cosy alpine huts.
The hotel is directly by Fuessen´s pedestrian shopping area, very close to bus and rail terminals and the tourist information centre. Take a sightseeing stroll through Fuessen´s historic old quarter with the `High Castle` and the baroque monastery of St. Mang.
Enjoy the attractions of one of the most beautiful areas in the southern German Alps.

This was by far the best accommodation in all our travels around Europe. Charming, perfect location, superb breakfasts. Only one drawback - the noise from the construction site across the street - but I guess that's just temporary. Warm, friendly staff, and free wi-fi in the room.
