Nestled in the Monteverde, at only 3 kilotmeteres from Monteverde Cloud Forest, sits Historias Lodge, a rustic, family-run Monteverde Lodge.

We are located in the small mountain community of Monteverde, just 1 kilometer of Santa Elena town, 3 kilometers of Cloud Forest.

Breakfast

The Lodge includes a home-made full breakfast with a variety of freshly-prepared foods and seating for over 30 people at the morning.

At Don Juan Restuarant families will enjoy the food and friendliness reminiscent of feel good Costarican with table jukeboxes and a menu featuring classic costarican food and seafood. Don Juan Restaurant is located on the middle of the town of Santa Elena, about 1 km away from our lodge.

For coffee, tea and delicious breakfast items, visit the Three House Restaurant located in the town of Santa Elena.

* Selvatura Adventure Park offers fun that never ends. Activities include Zip Lines, Hanging Bridges, Serpentarium, Tree top walks, Butterfly gardens and more.

* Monteverde cloud forest guided tour is one of the most exciting natural tours in the area.

SHUTTLE BUS (Shared 10 passengers van): Best way to assure your transfer is book it in advance with your preferred transportation company. If you do not have one to come to Monteverde please let us know and Historias Lodge will make arrangements for you in specialized in Shared and Privates Transportation . Shuttle Buses offer latest model vans, fully insurance and very flexible schedules going to and coming from Monteverde. This is a Door-to-Dorr Service. Daily departures from/to Monteverde to any destination at 8:am and 2:00pm. The price per person is about $45 one way. Also, if you need to go to other destination with no-coming-backs to San Jose, is possible to book it from our Hotel.

* BY CAR RENTAL

From San José

Driving through the Interamerican #1 North Highway, going through Alajuela, San Ramón, Puntarenas. At the Puntarenas' intersection, keep on going north to Liberia. At kilometer 133, you will find on the right a road going to Sardinal. Take that road that goes through the mountain and you can arrive to Monteverde.Another road will be found at kilometer 149 on the Interamerican #1 North Highway, just before Río Largarto's Bridge, you will find on the right a road that will lead you Monteverde.

If you come from Liberia on Interamerican #1 South Highway, or maybe from Río Tempisque's bridge, you will find a detour on the left that goes to Las Juntas. Take that road, and you will find signs to follow to arrive to Monteverde.
