If travelling by air the Whitsunday's are serviced by two domestic airports, Great Barrier Reef Airport on Hamilton Island and Whitsunday Coast Airport on the Mainland at Proserpine. Flying into either airports will then require a ferry service to Long Island.

By Launch from the mainland [Shute Harbour or Abel Point Marina] or Hamilon Island a local ferry company operates regular services.
