Secret Garden is tucked away on a quiet neighborhood street, only two blocks from the main avenue. Tulum Pueblo is a lively town with fruit markets, boutique shops, lots of restaurants (we have our favorites), internet cafes, Mexican handcrafts and silver shops. All this is within walking distance from the Secret Garden. Our nine tastefully appointed rooms are ideally located only 4 kms away from Tulum's amazing beaches and ancient Mayan ruins. Also, We are close to the bay where you can swim with sea turtles and see the amazing caves and 'cenotes'.
At Secret Garden you will find clean, comfortable and stylish standard rooms each with AC, queen size bed, full size bed or both (depends the room), also we have Palapa rooms; these rooms are made with 'Mayan style' thatched roof that helps keep the space cool.
The beautiful courtyard area has a great combination of breeze and shade. Perfect common area to read, relax alone or chill out with new friends.
Bus station is 5 minutes walking distance.

Secret Garden was a lovely place to stay in Tulum. It was off the main street so much quieter. There is a beautiful garden with couches and hammock to relax in. The hosts were very warm and helpful and spoke English. Our only complaint is that our room was at the very front and so had less privacy and more street noise than the back rooms and cabanas. They also had rooms with kitchenettes available.

A great hotel, close to the main road. The staff was excellent, very helpful and nice. Ask them to explain everything that interests you on the tulum map!
Outside of the rooms there is a big shady garden, lots of trees but there are bird nests in them so you have to watch out for the bombs.
the rooms are nicely decorated, some have a kitchen and a fridge, bathrooms are spacy and also well decorated, also you get a towel for your face, hands and body
You can leave your documents at the reception.
Only thing that i would recommend is to get new pillows! Because even though the sheets were changed every day one pilow would stink after the night, especially because it was hot and we took a room without A/C. The tiny brown pilows were esecially stinky.
All in all a definetly good hotel and i recommend it to everyone!!!Greetings Nikola & Tea!
