Ivory Towers Backpackers, Fox Glacier, Nieuw-Zeeland

Our lodge is set in one of the most beautiful corners of New Zealand surrounded by snowy mountains, glaciers, lakes, rivers, beaches and rainforest. Our aim is to keep you warm, comfortable and happy.

Ivory Towers is a friendly backpacker accommodation welcoming independent travellers from all over the planet/ other planets. Not only we have years of experience in the industry, we also share the passion for travelling and backpacked around the world ourselves. We are happy to share the enthusiasm and knowledge of the local area.

Ivory Towers consists of three self-contained lodges. The two smaller lodges can accommodate 12 people and are ideal for small groups or large families.

We have one large fully equipped kitchen and two smaller kitchen areas in the smaller lodges , a TV / Movie room , huge DVD library, infrared sauna, spa, internet, barbeque and spacious indoor and outdoor areas for our guests to relax, listen to our great selection of music, and enjoy meeting fellow travellers. We also offer free bikes.

We have seven four bed shares, five six bed dorms, three twin rooms and three bedrooms with a double and a single bed. We also have two family units, one single room, five double rooms and a fabulous ensuite bedroom.

All the rooms are fully made up and have heaters. The private rooms have tv's, dvd players and towels.

After you arrive on bus just head down towards the petrol station, turn up towards the Plateau cafe and carry on up the hill. We are on the left.

If arriving in a car turn off from state highway 6 by the petrol station, turn towards the Plateau cafe and carry on up the hill. We are on the left. You can park right outside or on the road bellow us.
