To get from the airport: Bus from Bilbao aerupuerto, last stop (Termibus) Take the Tram spot (green), not the subway. Address to Atxuri. Get off at Arriaga. In front of the stop is a street entering the Casco Viejo (New Street). At the end of this street, this street gardens and right in front of where this leads to the Pension Mardones.

This is a nice clean place with affordable prices ideally located in old town. directions given to hostel seemed a little out so we just took underground to Casco Viejo and then you just follow 3 streets and your there. Ower nice but had near no english however he did speak some french.

the only problem in this hostal : the quality of the BEDS. It was realy horrible for me and my 20 year old dauhters! After 2 sleepless nights we changed to another room, but : the same problem.

Very clean hostal right in the centre of the old town of Bilbao, close to the tram. Very helpful and nice staff.

Overall this Hostel was good. There was a cold water drink machine to use which was ideal. Try and get a room away from the rear as there is a constant humming from air-con machines. The bathroom we had was very small and the shower head did not have a place to attach, so you had to hold it. The staff were helpful and the place looked clean.

The proprieter was friendly, but the room was small, dark and poky, the furniture was shappy and the bathroom was tiny (although it was all very clean). Overall it felt more like a hostal than a hotel and the room was not very good value at 55 euro without breakfast.
