Family run guesthouse 'Sotto il Vulcano' lies at the feet of the highest active volcano in Europe, Mt. Etna.

The guest house is located in Nicolosi - Mascalucia (10 minutes from the A18 Catania Messina highway, exit tangenziale Gravina) and only 15 minutes from the center of Catania (12 miles). The most interesting sites of eastern Sicily are a few kilometers away (Taormina, Syracuse, Caltagirone, Piazza Armerina).

The garden of the guest house is scented with jasmin flowers and lit with the bright yellow of the mountain broom bushes, it is a calm ideal place for nature lovers. Our rooms are large and have independent access. We offer a room for disabled guests, Mini-Bar, Private bath, TV, Heating and Air conditioning, Hairdryer, Car park and private garden.

For breakfast you will taste the best typical products of Etna: honey, biological fruit, cakes and much more. We can offer you excursions to Mt. Etna and to the top of the volcano where you can see the eruptions, at 20% less than the official rates of the Cableway Office.
