Monteverde Inn offers rooms with private bathrooms and hot water.

The hotel has a breakfast room overlooking the forest and usually during breakfast you will get to see white-faced monkeys, agoutis (Pacas), and Pizotes (Coati mundi) right outside the window.

We also have a fully equipped cabin with two bedrooms, each with private bathroom.

About us

Monteverde Inn is one of the first hotels to open its doors to national and international tourism.

Currently, a local Costa Rican family manages Monteverde Inn. The property is located in a small valley just 10 minutes from Santa Elena.

This location allows us to maintain a quiet and private environment.

At Monteverde Inn we retain a family atmosphere and this is demonstrated in the unique care we provide our guests.

We are also aware of the importance of sustainable development, which helps us to preserve the wealth of our environment.

The area offers ample space for recreation, and colorful gardens of native plants to fill the place with beautiful birds and butterflies.

Moreover, you will appreciate an exceptional view of the Gulf of Nicoya from our hotel. This landscape turns the sunset into an amazing show.

Monteverde Inn has 12 acres of pre-montane forest with trails available for our guests. In our forests you can see any amount of birds and mammals, as well as experience the lush green tropical forest. From different observation points you can also see panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and a majestic waterfall.

We have eight comfortable rooms including single, double and triple rooms, each with a bathroom and hot water. In addition, we offer you a fully equipped cabin with two double rooms.
