As a backpacker you'll appreciate the excellent location (close to bus, metro, markets), free wifi, and value for money. The windowless room where the double bed takes up two thirds of the space won't faze you - after all, travel is about what goes on outside your room!

We stayed at Ah Shan hostel martch 2011. The rooms are very small but clean.
The staff is very friendly and helpfull.
The location is next to the ladies market and nearby the metro station Mong kok.

I had never slept ina hostal, because i never trusted them so much, but this place changed my expectations. The owners are really nice and the rooms are perfect if you only need to sleep. The neighbourhood might not seem the best one, but its close from everywhere in honkgkong and the hostel is very secure and clean. i recommend it to anyone.

It is a good place for sleeping after a full of events day. There are two things that confused me. Toilet and shower in one area (about 1,5 sq. meters) and room without window.
Ah Shan is a good choice for spartans!
