Such a wonderful place, in a traditional charming japanese house around a garden.
HouseKeepers are both really nice and professional!
Located in between the city center and the main park, easy to find.
Peaceful and Cheerful! you can go there to be sure to have a nice souvenir of Nara...

Stayed one night at this hostel in a lovely old Japanese house. Though it was freezing outside, and parts of the house were chilly, the bedrooms were warm as was the Kitchen, and there was a fine example of Japanese under table heating in the lounge which added to the experience. Helpful staff, only negative would be there was only one shower which was a bit chilly to go to in this weather.
Very close to the deer park and so on, would recommend.

We highly recommend this newly opened guesthouse.
It's in a traditional 100 year old home with a beautiful garden in the centre.
It has all of the facilities you'll need such as internet, shared kitchen area, decent showers, spacious rooms with comfy futon and a lovely sunken floor common area to meet with other friendly travellers or just relax.
For the quality of the guesthouse the price cannot be beaten
The location is great, tucked away from the main road it is walking distance to the station/dining hub & the world heritage listed sights.
The owner is friendly and speaks both Japanese & English, he told us it was his dream to open a guesthouse & he is off to a great start!
We are already planning to head to the Nara area to see more of the sights & will be staying here again
