The Local 2 bar/restaurant is conveniently located a stones throw from the main tourist area in Phnom Penh, riverside.
The restaurant serves Western & Khmer food with budget options as well as quality imported options including kangaroo, crocodile, NZ beef and ostrich meat. The bar serves all drinks and an extensive cocktail list.
Happy hour consists of draft for .75c and 42 mojito's. The 1st level has two pool tables. The 2nd level has brand new boutique style guesthouse rooms built in March 2011, tastefully decorated and well appointed, complete with flatscreen TV with dvd players, bathtubs with rain shower heads, mini fridge with complimentary bottled water, electronic room safe, aircon, ceiling fan, tea and coffee making facilities, king sized or twin beds- fast wifi and room service is available through an intercon system from 7am until midnight. The rooftop penthouse has a private terrace, king size bed, 32' flatscreen TV with DVD player, king sized sofa which can be converted to a second bed.

I stayed for five days at the local2, and was very satisfied with everything. Not only were the staff friendly and helpful, but there are a lot of regular customers who go out of their way to make you welcome and are full of information about the local area. The food was also excellent and I think you would be struggling to find better for the price. The location is also perfect for the river and the nightlife. I would stay there again.
