Irish Heritage House of the Year, Mount Vernon has in the past played host to some of Irelands notable public figures including Sir Hugh Lane, Lady Gregory, Yeats, AE-George Russell, Synge and Shaw.

Individually furnished, each of our 5 spacious and elegantly guest bedrooms enjoy wonderful views of our walled garden or Galway Bay and features central heating, orthopaedic mattresses, spring water, complimentary organic seaweed toiletries and a small library.

Dining at Mount Vernon is a convivial experience; guests dine together at a vast table in our dining room which overlooks the sea. A complimentary breakfast is thoughtfully prepared each morning accompanied by your host Ally's home baking.

Mount Vernon is the ideal retreat from which to explore the attractions of Clare and Galway including the Burren, Cliffs of Moher and Connemara. Outdoor activities within easy reach include fishing, walking, horse riding, bird watching, golf as well as surfing and diving.
