The house has 9 large bedrooms and is situated close to the town centre of Callington.

Callington has Bodmin Moor to the west, Dartmoor to the east and is within reach of both the north and south coasts of Cornwall. It is 20 minutes drive from the centre of Plymouth. There are regular bus services in all directions.

The property is run as a hostel, used by guests for both long and short stays. The Chantry has proven popular with foreign guests particularly. Formerly a Bed & Breakfast, Guest House there is a warm friendly atmosphere at the house.
