Kollenkeril Plantation Home Stay Bunaglow, Munnar, India

This traditional Kerala style Bungalow located right in the wilderness of Munnar hills is built by Mr. P J George in the year 1993. It resembles the Dutch styles of layout blended harmoniously with the local carpentry, steeply pitched tile roofs decorated with simple and neat gables, inward cut verandahs and contoured ledges forming the front facing east make Kollenkeril bungalow a very private space who loves privacy and relaxation.

The Bungalow is surrounded by a wide array of flora and fauna, plantations, valleys and mountains. Kollenkeril offers contemporary facilities that make your stay comfortable. It is a romantic place for family and honeymooners. There’s no sound, other than the breeze and an occasional snatch of birdsong. Mesmerised by the beauty, you may simply sit and stare. Evenings are covered with mist and in the middle of the day the sun brightens inviting you on a pleasant trek along the valley. Find out what's beauty in being far from polluted world.The bungalow is a beautifully furnished traditional wooden house, nestled in the lush and bountiful jungle of the cardamom hills.

To spend sometime thinking, listening to nature's sounds and just enjoying the really incredible view.

The bungalow has 5 rooms; each varies from the other. The Front extensions are 2 rooms, and the main building has 3 bedrooms and drawing room and a dining room. Bed rooms do not have TV. The common TV in drawing room can be used considering the occupancy of the nearby rooms.

What to Expect, and Note.

Unlike a hotel, Kollenkeril has a homely atmosphere with Mr. Joe and family to take care of your needs. Food menu will be fixed. Items shall vary daily. Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian can be served as per your wish. Please do not expect a hotel type menu.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be served only at the dining room. Bed-tea will be served to the rooms. To help us serve you better please discuss food timings at the check-in time. Dinner shall be served only till 10 pm.

If you come by your car or Taxi: After 18 km from Adimaly when you come from Cochin side you will notice a Cinnamon Garden. The second next turn and at the right side is Kollenkeril.

If you come from Madurai or Coimbatore side, you have to reach Munnar and take your road to Cochin for 12 km. Then after the 2nd mile junction, there is the Karadippara View Point. 150 meters down the same route, you will find us on the left side.

Large Piller-ed gate and the royal road leads you to Kollenkeril.
