On May 21, Chile commemorated the naval Battle of Iquique, a grand parade in the city center, the main ceremony takes place in the Plaza Sotomayor in Valparaiso

at 12:10 accompanied by the traditional 21-gun salute accompanying the honors which recalls the sinking of the Esmeralda , the Naval Academy, Military Academy, Aviation School, School of Police.

By bus:

Take any bus from Avenida Pedro Montt, which is front of the station, and get off at street Bellavista. Look for the Anibal Pinto square and cross it. Continue to street Cumming and take the Reina Victoria elevator (cost $100 chilean pesos). Walk to your right to street Dimalow and continue for one and a half blocks until you reach Urriola. Look for number 636.

By taxi:

You can take a taxi outside the central station. It should take a maximum of 15 minutes to arrive and cost 3500 - 4000 chilean pesos.

By foot:

Follow Avenida Pedro Montt until you come to the crossing of street Bellavista. Look for the plaza Anibal Pinto and cross it. Continue to street Cumming and take the Reina Victoria elevator(cost $100 chilean pesos). Walk to your right to street Dimalow and continue for one and a half blocks until you reach Urriola and look the number 636. This will take you maximum 30 minutes.
